For the December issue, a list of some recently posted items:
Two additions to the Hull Numbers Collection.
It's increasingly rare that someone submits a photo scan for a chaser number that's not already represented, so it was great to see a couple more.
From the same collection: Subchaser SC 434 crew photos:
Thanks to John Thomas, whose father, Leon Thomas, was a radio operator on SC 434, for submitting the photo scans of these items to The Subchaser Archives.
Jeff Winter came across this notice of the Armistice, addressed to Auxiliary Patrol vessels in Area XVII, which was along the northern coast of Ireland. This is the same message circulated to the subchasers, and presumably to all USN vessels.
And a nice addition to the Chaser Models Showcase from Paul Veeder, "Made from a kit when I was a youngster, circa 1946."
I hope you are enjoying the oncoming winter!
