From the miscellaneous files, a photo of crewmen at Bantry, Ireland, "Picking blackberries," from the collection of Harry E. Betzig, CO of submarine chaser SC 181, courtesy of his great-granddaughter Barbara Betzig White.

The crewmen in the photo are identified as radio electrician Donald Huntley of Worcester, MA (left) and engineer Floyd L. Kelly of Maupin, OR (right).
Donald Huntley is also featured in this set, submitted by his grandson William H. Huntley. Possibly Floyd Kelly is shown in the engine room photo in this set, also from the collection of Harry Betzig. More crew photos from SC 181 are here, submitted by crewman Everod Williams's grandson Robert Williams.
Among the notable events the chaser crews stationed at Queenstown participated in was the chase humorously dubbed "the battle of Bantry Bay," shown here, where one theory was that echoes rather than a submarine were detected.
