Continuing this year with the theme of less common chaser-related scenes, here's a less typical view of chasers in locks. Based on the landscape, maybe this the Caledonian Canal at Fort Augustus.

In the background -- see the detail image below -- there are several chasers waiting to move into the next chamber, and evidently someone in one of the boats farther on stopped to take this photo.

The picture is not nearly sharp enough to make out any hull numbers, but possibly these were some of the chasers assigned to northern Russia. After the war, a dozen chasers sailed up to Inverness, and three continued on to Archangel to assist in the efforts to evacuate U.S. troops from Russia.
