Over the past month or so I've made several interesting contacts, among them the grandson of a crewman on SC 62, who submitted a collection of fine photographic images for the site (featured in this month's issue, below), and the Vice Chair of the Holyhead Maritime Museum, who is planning an exhibition for next year that will include some images of U.S. Navy crewmen in Holyhead during the war (about which I'll provide details later on, closer to the date).
The later contact was a reminder of the wide range of ports visited by chasers in WWI, everywhere from northern Russia to the Panama Canal.
