Over the next few months I'll be posting scans of a booklet published in 1920 by the Submarine Signal Company, a Boston-based company that designed various ASW devices including the C-tube and K-tube hydrophones used on submarine chasers.

Posted this month is the first segment, describing the development of submarine bells, and the technology of the Fessenden oscillator.
