Happy New Year, and welcome to the 8th year of The Subchaser Archives Notes.
If you have perused the site lately, you've seen the updated site design. In terms of content and structure, not much has changed. But, it was time to upgrade the back-end software, so a good time to update the layout a bit, as well. Let me know if anything in the navigation or usability of the site seems lacking.
Several new(old) photo collections have come across my desk recently, and I look forward to posting quite a lot of new material to the site soon.

Added to the SC 44 page
Recently added to the SC 44 page is a nice subchaser-underway photo showing SC 44, submitted by Jim Felton. See a couple of other SC 44 photos on that page.
Postcard, SC 38
Also recently submitted by Jim Felton is a scan of a postcard sent by a sailor on subchaser SC 38. This is from the early post-war period, when many subchaser crewmen and officers had some time to see the sights, and were looking forward to the homeward-bound journey.
