Here in Maine we are enjoying a very early spring, and hoping the growing season won't be negatively affected by it. In between getting the garden ready and other outdoor tasks, I've managed to post several interesting items.
Among these is an image that will be exciting to chaser model builders, the first close-up, clear photo I have ever seen showing the construction of the protective housing for the hydrophones.
More from that set, and more from a growing backlog of other collections, soon.

Just posted is a spectacular photo showing the detail of the port side hull, on which was constructed a protective housing for the hydrophones.
During listening periods, the Listeners would lower the hydrophones beneath the hull. When underway, the "tubes" would be drawn up into this protective housing.
Added to the Showcase pages of the Chaser Model section is a Glenco build by Stan Pienkowski (Vernon, CT), depicting the boat on which bosun's mate John M. Connelly served.
