This month I've posted several new photos in the Hull Numbers Collection. These came to The Subchaser Archives by a more local source than usual: A member of our local /http://www.bowdoinhamhistoricalsociety.org (of which I'm president) is a descendant of Capt. John Taylor Gause Stapler, USN, who was involved in implementing the submarine base at New London. Among his photo collection are several shots showing chasers.
It's fascinating how these things fit together in unexpected ways!
Have an enjoyable spring.

Jack Hudock recently submitted an updated version of his extensive notes on improving the Glencoe submarine chaser model
Included in the updated version is another drawing (drawing 15A) that shows the waterline on the hull.
If you're planning to build the Glencoe model, you'll want to consult Jack's notes. There is a lot of excellent information on ways to tailor the model to depict the boat more accurately.
There are three recent additions to the Hull Number Photos Collection:
Thanks to Betsy Steen for submitting the photos to The Subchaser Archives.
