SC 96: Crew

Shown are images of a brass plaque, commissioned by the residents of Lansdowne, MD, listing Thomas E. Barton, Jr., who served on submarine chaser SC 96.

Notes from James Barton, nephew of Thomas Barton: "The plaque was first hung in the hallway at Lansdowne Elementary School and later moved to the VFW. Thomas was a founding member and the first commander of the Walter-Howard-Shaw Post 327 which is the oldest active VFW in the state of Maryland."
