John Coughlin Faulkner, machinist's mate on submarine chaser SC 356. SC 356 was a wing boat in a unit of chasers stationed at Base 6, Queenston (Cobh) Ireland -- SC 271, SC 164, and SC 356 -- and after the war participated in mine sweeping operations in the North Sea.
