SC 312, along with a number of other chasers, performed patrols on the coast of Mexico and Central America. This boat in particular was among four chaser that were later sold to Cuba. The Ship Movements book notes SC 312 at Puget Sound, Mare Island, San Diego, Corinto, Balboa, Christobal, Guantanamo, and Key West.
Paul Robert Mueller, shown in these photos, was a Gunner's Mate 2nd Class on SC 312. Thanks to his grandson Karl Mueller for submitting the images to The Subchaser Archives.
Karl found two other crewmen listed in newspaper articles as having been crewmen on SC 312: F. E. McGonegal and K. Malliaris.
