This set of images shows items from the collection of SC 83 radio electrician Roger Kingsbury, courtesy of his daughter, Jane Kingsbury Burne.
Items include a celebratory pamphlet dated 18 May 1918, which lists the officers and crew of subchaser SC 83 and includes nicknames; a rare photo of the radio room of the chaser, crew photos, and a notice of the Armistice on 11 November 1918. SC 83 was assigned to ASW operations, based at Plymouth, England, and served as a wing boat in Unit 7 (SC 259, SC 83 and SC 87).
