Submarine chaser SC 116 was built at the Norfolk Navy shipward, and was commissioned on 14 November, 1917.

Thanks to Cheryl Eisenhauer, whose grandfather, Joseph Leonard Meyers, served as a MM1c on SC 116, for submitting the photo to The Subchaser Archives.
