Submarine chaser SC 264 served in the First Naval District and in the Second Naval District. In October 1918 SC 264 was assigned to distant service, and sailed to Bermuda and the Azores, bound for one of the overseas bases (possibly Plymouth, England or Corfu, Greece), and was in the Azores when the Armistice was signed, and did not reach its destination port.
