SC 87: Crew List

Robert "Pops" Edwards served on submarine chaser SC 87. His grandson Steve Lesko, who submitted the crew list, reports that "Pops" got his nickname because at age 24 he was the oldest crewman on the chaser.

SC 87 was buit at Hiltebrant Dry Dock, was delivered at New York on 14 February 1918, and served overseas at Plymouth (Base 27).
