SC 209: Harry Sawyer Denney

Charles Lentz submitted these photo scans of crewmen on subchaser SC 209. This chaser was mistaken for an enemy submarine, and was sunk by friendly fire, fired on by the freighter, Felix Taussig. Harry Sawyer Denney (shown in the first photo), killed in the incident, is the great uncle of Charles Lentz.
