Unit E, SC 90, SC 92 and SC 93, served in the Otranto Barrage, and was based during the war at Corfu, Greece (Base 25). In this photo, taken at Malta, most likely en route to Corfu, are the COs of the unit: Lt. Oscar Borgeson (SC 90, unit leader) in the lower left; Ens. George S. Dole (SC 93) above, with cigar; and Ens. Joseph H. Mundy (SC 92), center.
